You 2

Just made this layout, used MM green paint to make my own background paper with bubble wrap. I also used MM magnetic stamp to put words around the page as well as some clear defined MM words. Foam stamps and paint MM as well as embellishments, I just love MM foam stamps, very fun! I catch myself saying 'You 2' to the girls so often....when they are hamming it up,being so sweet and just being their sweet little monkey selfs!

Fini!

I am finally calling this experimental painting finished! I had started it awhile ago as a collage, and have built up layers of paint, and it has turned into out west coast inspired trees. I added some watered down white paint to the outside to try to make the trees 'pop' . It is sooo hard to make time to do any painting now, I must try to be less finiky and just put some paint down, because really it is the journey that really matters, and to enjoy it!

Wow-day 20

I cannot believe that it is already day 21 (am still working on it) I have had alot happen in 21 days and this journey has documented alot of that...The quote on this page is"We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.
- Aristotle -"I really want this to be a way of life for me, and I am very proud that I have stuck to it for these 21 days!

Responsibility-Day 19

What a great weekend, my brother and sister-in-law are in town(they are the coolest couple) Novalee had so much fun with them, Uncle Ry at 6'3" is a big fun teddy bear! This page is on the environment and our responsibility to it! Do you recycle ,everything, anything??It is our responsibility and for the future of everyone, it only takes one to make a difference !
I just lost this posting...aurgh, so to sum up what I just wrote and lost...It snowed a foot,I stayed at work durung lunch and found this quote by Kelly owner of Fusilli's in our local paper, I love dining...I need to eat to do anything well....

Day 17

I loved this quote as well on Rhonna's blog! I decided to cut off a piece of my 'inspirational' fabric that had been sitting in my cupboard for a few years....Now, voila, my day 16 journal page!

Inspirational patterns

I was at http://www.tuesdaysfrog.com/journal.html today and the question asked was,'what patterns inspire you....Well I had bought this pink paisley fabric years ago because I just love the pattern and the other pattern is a black rich-toned table cloth that I just had to have...I feel better that at least I have taken a picture of them now! I may have to journay with these now to!

Day 15 +16

The past two days of journalling have been alot harder to get around to, I am now back to work, and we don't get home until 6.....diner ,bath.stories...oh maybe relax...lol,make lunches, and get up all night long with baby. So we all end up sleeping in the same bed, I should have bought a king size! But life happens quickly and soon the girls will be to old to sleep with us and I know we will miss this snuggly time!

Day 13-where's mine?!

As I am posting my journal pages my 4 yr. old is asking 'where's mine?' and she has 24 double sided pages(48)!!! I think I would be here awhile posting all hers...the only 'rule' I have for her art journal is no skipping pages(which is very hard to do!) We bring it everywhere, Tim Hortons today! I really think Novalee will keep me on track......

Day 11&12

Well I think it is getting harder to make time to journal every day...hence I guess I did not put as much effort in, but I always say 'it is better to do something than nothing!' And no matter what I do I can only grow, if even just a little. But I do have a goal and I really do want this to be a part of my daily routine!

Day 10-aurgh

Well I started this on Wed. at 11:30 pm, but since I worked on it on Thursday it's being posted as day 10. I really needed to journal, this one is my only negative page so far...but we just caught my stepdaughter (16) in a biggie lie, and the other events of that night left us so puzzled ....I cannot express my feelings, but to just write without thinking just to get it out..

1st self portrait

I cannot believe I am doing this, but after being told about self portrait tuesdays, I went and took a few pics of myself.(I have never done this before!) Well I guess I was shocked to not see a girl in her twentys when I looked at the pics, I guess that's because I am not as young as I feel!!! There I was in the thirties glory...so I cropped my eyes altered the coloring to b/w(first time I have altered a photo on our computer!)....next time I may put on some make-up and try again...maybe...

Rabbit!-day 9

Rabbit Rabbit Rabbit!Happy March 1st(good luck if you say this 3 times first thing on the 1st day of the month, says Grama) What a great day, had the kids in a trial run at daycare 1/2 day as I am going back to work from my maturnity leave on Tuesday..aurgh...so I went to an art class, with my Mom(yaaa ma!!!!) then picked up the girls and my girlfriend took me out for lunch!! Our snow is no longer (of course it only lasts for a day or so on our wet island) Novalee is still having fun with her art journal as well!

Day 8

My parents took our 4 year old for a sleep over , so Scott, baby and I rented a movie! The quote on the journalling page is taken from the movie Hitch...it was good to sit back and just watch a movie!(with my sketch pad near!)
